Part of our Berwick staff since nearly the beginning, Claudia is the dedicated backbone of this practice keeping everything running smoothly. In the past she has worked extensively in child care and now gears her caring nature towards caring for our clients' canine and feline kids. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family - her nephew, Aiden, doggie nephews Zorro and Max, and traveling up North to New Jersey frequently to visit family and her niece Isabella.
Betty Lewis, RVT
Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner
Betty's connection to Berwick Animal Hospital began years and years ago when we cared for her shelti's, and we are thrilled to have her on staff. With a long history in agility training and competition, she developed a passion for physical therapy and massage, and after receiving her AS in Veterinary Technology and her RVT, she also received her certification from the University of Tennessee for Canine Rehabilitation. Betty also brings to the table her BS in Biological Science, and MBA, and experience working as a Medical Technologist. Outside of her busy days with patients she also enjoys photography and spoiling her sassy Sheltie, Rip and beautiful Border Collie Ouija.
Karla is one of Berwick's original staff members who started as a Technician here when our very first new clients walked through the door. With over 16 years of experience in her field, our clients and patients love her caring and compassionate nature. A native of Guyton, GA, she currently resides in Savannah with husband Ed and her son Nicholas. Outside of work they enjoy spending time with friends and family, jetsetting on adventures and trips back up north to Ed's home base, live music, and laughing.
Kayla, a graduate of Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro, has been a part of our team since graduation. Originally from Newport News, VA, Kayla and her family relocated to Hinesville, GA when she was young. When she is away from Berwick Kayla enjoys snuggling with her five pups and spending time with her boyfriend. Being outside is definitely something that Kayla enjoys, especially when she can bring her pups along!
Originally from Long Island, NY, Sue has been all over the continent! After earning a Bachelor of Arts and Science, and living coast to coast (East, West, North AND South!) over a period of 10 years, she has made a home in Savannah with her husband Marcus and sweet terrier-mix Adelle. Sue has made a huge contribution to our team with her calming presence and sweet nature. It is her great honor to serve our community by helping nurture and protect the human-animal bond, so precious to all our Berwick Families.
